OUR STORY: HOME GROWN TALENTS REALISING THEIR PASSION

Saedah Hasnal
BRUVERA

Saedah Hasnal, BRUVERA Born in 1992 and growing up with both parents working for the government, it was instilled in Saedah a sense of finding a job in the government after graduation. It was not in her plans to become an entrepreneur. But, exactly 5 days after her graduation in October 2016, she co-founded a web- development company with her junior from UBD. Their first product was an e-commerce platform, developed from ideation in just 2 months during their participation in a 100-days accelerator program held by DARe. BRUVERA.com was launched on the 1st of January 2017 with the purpose to promote and sell Bruneian local fashion, beauty and lifestyle products online locally and internationally. Saedah took the plunge and self-taught herself business and anything relevant to the business. Although she was short in business education and experience, she is not short in courage, because it takes courage to do something outside of the norm. Currently, BRUVERA is run from a house turned office with a team of five.
